Running programs are important since they detail adequate progression. This should include both long distance and short distance styles. Long distance is one mile or more for a basketball player. Short distance can be distance under one mile whether it is done forwards, backwards or laterally. Basketball STRENGTH Volume II has running programs that should be followed by every player.
